Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is designed to normalize the environment around the brain and spinal cord, enhancing the body's ability to self-correct. Increasingly used as a preventive health measure, CST helps to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions, including migraines, TMJ dysfunction, learning disabilities, chronic neck and back pain, stress-related disorders and more.

This therapy is performed using light touch while the client if fully clothed lying on the massage table.

Craniosacral therapy uses the bones of the cranium and sacrum as "handles" to influence the contents of the brain and spinal chord, affecting the mobility and tensions of the dural system . One way in which this is particularly of use in my practice is that the hypothamalus and pituitary, so keenly important in the reproductive system, can be directly affected with this simple, non-invasive modality.

Developed by Dr. John Upledger, Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle and effective form of bodywork that uses a light touch to correct soft tissue restrictions and release stress or trauma from the body.
